Karen was my cousin. A few years older than me and one of two bigger sisters of my partner in crime growing up, Joanne. I spent many days and nights in the school holidays staying at their house in Park Avenue, East Ham, playing random games in the shed, going to the sweet shop in the evening and, with one brother at home, generally enjoying the compnay of the girls! Karen always had a big smile, a big laugh, even bigger hair and the biggest of hearts. She reminded me of our nan. Like nan, family was the core of her life. Like nan, she always made me smile.
A wonderful wife and mum, a loving daughter and sister, and a great aunt, niece, cousin and friend - Karen will be missed by so many. My thoughts are with Gary, Daniel, Lauren, my Auntie Joan, Uncle Dave, Debbie and Joanne at what is an unbearably heartbreaking and difficult time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
